|Booking system||A booking chart for the following year is circulated |
during the previous summer, so that it is completed prior
to the owners' annual autumn meting, where it is confirmed.
Initially, each owner may book 3 weeks (2 weeks high season, 1 week low season)
and, thereafter, the chart is re-circulated for owners to book a 4th week if wished.
There is a rota system which ensures that everyone moves up the list each year
(unless you are currently top of the list, in which case you then move to the
bottom for the following year). This ensures a fair choice of holiday dates for all.
The system is very democratic and we've found that it works well for everyone.
With only 11 owners, there is enough flexibility in the system for maintenance
not to affect anyone's weeks.
The fourth week is booked in reverse order of priority.
|Priority for school holidays||A maximum of 2 "Special" shares has priority booking for school|
holiday weeks and these owners pay a higher proportion
of the costs than "Ordinary" syndicate members,
thus reducing the running costs for the other 10 shareholders.
At present, only one and a half special shares are allocated
